PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a flexible belt for preventing generation of thick and thin possible printing zones extended from a seam by non-uniformtransfer of toner from a light receiver to a sheet. SOLUTION: A reciprocating pickup assembly 58 is pulled to its home position on a vacuum shoe 52 by start of a servo motor. As vacuum supplied to the vacuum shoe 53 is stopped, movement of a front edge between subsequent belt forming cycles becomes possible, and as an air cylinder is started, the vacuum shoe 182 is rotated around a shaft, while simultaneously a back edge of a web segment is carried in a clockwise arc form, thereby the back edge is completely inverted. |
