CONSTITUTION: The firing control of a bidirectional three-terminal thyristor 4 controlling the supply of power to a single-phase series commutator motor 2 is checked or subjected to a phase control at a position specified on the basis of a random number generated from a random number generating circuit 10, and thereby the increase in a peak current and in the nonuniformity of rotation is suppressed.
