PURPOSE: To provide a surface grinding method and device of a man conveyer handrail which can grind while generating no unevenness, in a short time. CONSTITUTION: When the surface of a man conveyer handrail 1 is ground, a belt sanding machine 12 is provided to make contacting to the surface of the man conveyer handrail 1, and to make the rotating direction of the belt sanding machine 12 reverse F2 to the driving direction F1 of the man conveyer handrail 1, under the condition driving the man conveyer handrail 1. And by rotating the belt sanding machine 12 in the direction F2, the contaminated surface of the man conveyer hand rail 1 is to be moved in the driving direction while being ground by the belt sanding machine 12, and a worker can grind the whole body of the man conveyer handrail 1 continuously while staying at almost a constant position. |
