PURPOSE: To simplify the construction and reduce the size of a recording apparatus by carrying out development using a plurality of color inks at one time, and improve development stability and image quality by enabling development using a uniform thin layer of ink. CONSTITUTION: A recording apparatus forms (develops) a visible image by heating a recording medium 1 whose surface is in contact with a contact member, that is, a liquid, a vapor, or a solid that liquefies by heat, forming a receding contact angle corresponding to a heating temperature, and contacting a colorant-containing recording agent with a heating portion (latent image portion). A developing unit 2 is formed of an ink-impermeable but ink-attracting member. An ink supplying unit 3 has an ink supply portion where a plurality of color ink sections are formed. The ink supplying unit 3 supplies the developing unit 2 with a plurality of color inks (A, B, C) at one time. |
