PURPOSE: To provide a connecting rod having good dimensional precision which is divided into a cap part and a main body part having projecting and recessing parts for mutually biting on the mating surfaces and easily positioning. CONSTITUTION: The main body part 1 and the cap part 2 of the connecting rod form difference of step 9 by mutually shifting on the dividing scheduled surface and a sintered body 3 integrally formed and sintered is inserted into a metallic mold 10. This sintered body is shorn by an upper and a lower punches 31, 21 so as to make the difference of step 9 zero and the dividing schedule surfaces are confronted, and the sintered body 3 is compressed by the upper and the lower punches 31, 32, 21 to increase the density, and the outer shape is formed and plastic deformation is executed. |
