<p>PURPOSE: To easily adjust the centers of the male side and the female side by forming a supply side bracket being a main body of an automatic pipe joint as a vertically movable structure, providing a guide groove to guide a vertical movement and a roller, and providing a triangular guide plate which is inserted into the guide groove and raises and lowers the roller on a roller chock side bracket. CONSTITUTION: When inserting work of upper and lower backup rollers in a mill housing comes up to an end, the tip 68 of a pipe joint male side triangular guide plate 41 connected to a roller chock 20 hitches on female side upper and lower guide grooves 37. Afterwards, when the upper and lower backup rollers are further inserted, a supply side bracket climbs on an inclined end surface 67 of the guide plate 41 while rotating the rollers, and reaches the apex 65 of the guide plate. At that time, a height directional central position of a pipe joint male side projection and a height directional central position of a female side recess 32 coincide with each other. As a result, the tip of a male side guide hitches on a female side guise hole, and a fine adjustment of a pipe joint is made, and the male side projection and the female side recess are put in a connecting condition.</p> |
