PURPOSE: To reproduce the multimedia data including dynamic images and voices in more natural state by delaying the presentation timing of the voice media in response to the presentation interval of frames of the dynamic image media. CONSTITUTION: The presentation timing of the voice media is delayed in response to the presentation interval of frames of the dynamic image media in an image/voice multimedia device. It is desirable to delay the presentation timing of the voice media in proportion to the reciprocal of frame rate of the dynamic image media, i.e., the frame presentation interval. That is, the voice reproduction timing is delayed by (d) seconds to the dynamic images when the frame rate of the dynamic images is set at (r) frames per second (d=1/(zxr)). In this case, (z) is defined as a rational number of 1 or more and desirably set at a value between 1 and 2. Thus, more natural multimedia can be presented even when the reproduction frame rate fluctuates at an especially low frame rate. |
