PURPOSE: To sufficiently gasify working fluid at an ordinary temperature so as to surely drive a turbine and so as to keep an output constant and to improve thermal efficiency of a system by using liquid air as the working fluid and adding an auxiliary combustion device. CONSTITUTION: A solar thermal power generation system is provided with a liquid air tank 15, a pump 1, a regeneration heat exchanger 2, a solar thermal light collecting device 3, and a turbine 4. The liquid air is pressurized by means of the pump 1 so as to be discharged from the liquid air tank 15, heated to an approximately ordinary temperature by means of the regeneration heat exchanger 2, and then, heated further by means of the solar thermal light collecting device 3 to a high temperature of 950-1050 deg.C. The turbine 4 is driven by means of this high temperature and high pressure air so as to rotate the pump 1, while conversion to electrical energy or to mechanical energy is carried out by means of a power generator or a load device 6. The air after the work gives exhaust heat to the working fluid discharged from the pump 1 by means of the regeneration heat exchanger 2, and then, is discharged to the air. |
