PURPOSE: To secure a non-coat air bag having low permeability and excellent pliableness and storability while keeping mechanical characteristics to be required as foundation cloth for an air bag by constituting a cloth material at a facial contact side of the air bag with the specified single yarn fineness and being pressurized and compressed in addition. CONSTITUTION: A cloth material at the facial contact side of a synthetic fiber forming an air bag, especially non-coat air bag is less than three deniers in single yarn fineness, adopting such a specified one as being pressurized and compressed, and each rigidity in single yarn and yarn filament is lowered as specified, and at least a cloth surface is smoothed for reducing the extent of friction. Therefore there is obtained such an air bag as being excellent in storability and pliableness and low in permeability while keeping mechanical characteristics.
