PURPOSE: To make it possible to realize a more variety of performance effects by displaying graphics moving in compliance with music, such as ENKA (sentimental songs), popular songs, male and female, seasons, places, etc., on a KARAOKE sing-along machine. CONSTITUTION: Plural genre codes based on the contents of the text and the tones of the melody of the musical piece of songs consisting of the text and the musical pieces are formed. The genre codes of the respective songs are previously stored together with musical piece data into a storage device. The graphic groups are respectively allotted in correspondence to the respective genre codes. The graphic groups of the respective genres consist basically of the graphics of the same kinds and are composed of the plural graphics changed in movements and colors within the range where changes are anticipated in the natural field and in daily society. The graphic groups are registered in a pattern ROM 4 and the genre codes of the songs are read together with the specific music data and the text data out of the storage device at the time of a request. The specific graphic groups are selected from the pattern ROM 4 according to these genre codes and any one graphic out of the graphic groups is read out one after another and displayed on a display device 6 cooperatively with the changes in the constituting elements of various kinds of tones, such as stated voices, rhythms of the melody, musical intervals, intensity, etc. |
