PURPOSE: To obtain voice information of a Japanese-language document including KANA(Japanese syllabary) and KANJI(Chinese character) together by storing a KANA code corresponding to an inputted Japanese language sentence expressed with KANA and printing a bar code generated from this code. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 1 generates the KANA code corresponding to a Japanese language sentence, which is inputted from a keyboard 6 and is expressed with KANA, and temporarily stores this sentence including KANA and KANJI and document data of the KANA code or the like in a text memory 4 consisting of a rewritable RAM. When an operator sets the KANA code printing mode after operating keys of the keyboard 6 to read out the document including the KANA code, the CPU 1 reads out the document and the KANA code in the document area and the KANA code area or the text memory 4 and transfers the document to a printer 8 as it is and transfers the KANA code to the printer 8 after conversion into picture data of a bar code to generate a printed document. Thus, character information is converted into voice information and is acquired by hearing. |
