A method of controlling turning on and off of a lamp of a Kimchi refrigerator according to the user's need regardless opening or closing of the door is provided. The method prevents power loss by preventing an unnecessary turning on of the lamp and automatically turning lights out after a predetermined time has passed even if the lamp is maintained in a turn-on state due to carelessness of users. A lamp control of a Kimchi refrigerator is performed by pressing a lamp selection button for turn-on and turn-off control and thus allows the lamp to sustain a turn-on state or a turn-off state according to user needs regardless of opening or closing of the door. The lamp control of the Kimchi refrigerator is characterized in that the turning on/off of the lamp is performed when the lamp selection button is pressed for a set time or more. A timer is allowed to be engaged concurrently with turning-on control of the lamp to turn automatically lights out after a set time or more has passed in case the lamp is in a turn-on state.
