FIELD: production of polymers. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by polymerization in the presence of protective polymer colloid (its quantity being 5-15 mass parts) and emulsifying agent, their mass ratio being 2:1-1:4. 0.5 mass parts of initiator, 84-131 mass parts of water and 15 mass parts of peptizing agent are used per 100 mass parts of vinyl acetate. Said peptizing agent is added into reaction mixture before polymerization takes place. Sodium salt of copolymer of styrene with maleic anhydride in which 0.48-0.52 equivalents of carboxyl groups are neutralized by sodium hydroxide is used as mentioned above protective colloid. Bis(alkyl polyoxyethylene) phosphate is used as said emulsifying agent, dibutyl phthalate is used as said plasticizer and potassium persulfate being used as initiator.
