FIELD: machining of balls used in bearing industry, oil industry, automotive-tractor industry aviation industry, etc. SUBSTANCE: device has upper disk and rotatable lower disk mounted coaxially; mounted rotatably between disks is cage for placing balls in its seat projecting in direction of upper disk which is provided with self-setting hold-down ring which is spring-loaded in axial direction relative to bearing surface of lower disk. Hold-down ring is located concentrically relative to revolving upper disk. Formed between outer lateral surface of upper disk and inner lateral surface of hold-down ring is circular slot tapering towards upper end of upper disk; this slot is designed to receive projecting portion of balls, revolving abrasive tool being located above circular slot. It is good practice to fit abrasive tool eccentrically relative to above-mentioned disks.
