FIELD: electric - erosion treatment of current conductive materials possibly for enhancing wear resistance, strength of parts of machines and tools. SUBSTANCE: method includes subjecting alloying electrode switching electric circuit of discharging current of accumulative capacitor to pulsating ultrasonic oscillations with controllable intervals between pulses and their duration values. That allows in dependance upon electrode material and power of discharge to select optimal values of contact duration of working electrode and part to be treated and subsequent cycle duration of ultrasonic oscillations. Such method provides increase of erosion of electrode material and reception of high-quality uniform layer of coating with high degree of its integrity along thickness and hardness. In comparison with well known method of subjecting spark electrode to continuous ultrasonic oscillations such method does not cause thermic tempering of layer but allows to sustain high speed quenching of transferred material and to receive in its layer a large number of superfine crystalline structures including amorphous phases and therefore to enhance operational characteristics of part had been treated. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of coating applying, enhanced quality of applied coating. |
