The system for enabling autonomous access of users with a child push chair into a bus comprises a plastics fixing plate (1). The plate has two holes (2,3) allowing it to be fixed by rivets. There is a carrier rail (4) folded along its length at an angle of 135 deg which forms locking catches (5,6,7). The edge (5) of these catches act as a guide and stop for the pushchair wheels. Along the carrier rail an edge (8) allows automatic guidance of the push chair wheels, avoiding any risk of leaving the rail. The device is placed at the bottom of the bus doors at an angle inclined to the head of the bus steps.
