<p>An inlet filter, especially for a rotary electric pump used to empty a washing machine, consists of a tubular body with one end designed to be coupled to a seal on the pump housing, a filter chamber and a cap (16). It contains a filter structure comprising a transverse partition (21) with an aperture (22), connected to the cap (16) in an axially spaced position so that when the cap is fitted the partition extends inside the filter chamber after the inlet. The cap (16) and the filter structure (20-23) are made in one piece from moulded plastic, on which annular seals (24, 25) are over-moulded. The partition is connected to the cap by a pair of parallel lengthwise arms (20), one of which has a flow channel connecting the two annular seals.</p> |
