The invention concerns a rest unit (18) for supporting the upper ends of the side rails of a ladder. It consists of a base body (37) provided with a rest section (36) of hard material and another rest section (38) of elastically deformable material, the free ends of the side rails being connectable via the said base body. The base body (37) takes the form of a head with projecting limbs (30) which can be fitted onto the free ends of the side rails. |
