Needling machine (1) comprising means (5, 6) for needling a lap (2) passing between two perforated steel plates (3, 7), means (17) for introducing the fiber lap (2) between the two plates (3, 7), means (10) for extracting the lap (2) downstream of the needling means (5, 6), means (4) for driving said needling means (5, 6) with a periodical striking motion, and processing and control means (11) connected to said needling drive means (4). Said needling machine (1) further comprises electromechanical means (12) for driving at a variable speed the extraction means (10), controlled by the control and processing means (11) in order to provide the extraction means (10) with an extraction speed modulated to the striking frequency at about an average extraction speed. Utilization for the fabrication of non woven products.
