<p>An improved method for attaching and stabilizing honeycomb core material (1) during machining operations. The method comprises attaching a piece of hook and loop fastening material (3) to a machine fixture (4). The hook and loop fastening material (3) includes a backing having a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive (6) for mounting on the machine fixture (4). A piece of hook and loop fastening material (2) having a backing including a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive (5) is secured to a core material (1). The core material (1) is then positioned and secured to the machine fixture (4) by coupling the corresponding pieces of hook and loop fastening material (2, 3) on the machine fixture (4) and the piece of core material (1).</p> |
