Illustrated and described is equipment for the discontinuous preparation of pasta, such as spaghetti, the equipment having a portioning device to which the raw pasta is fed, a cooking chamber (1) and a draining chamber (2), the inlet and outlet of the cooking chamber (1) and draining chamber (2) being closable by valves designed as shutter flaps (3, 4). Between the cooking chamber (1) and the drainage chamber (2) is a single shutter flap which can be turned about a spindle (38). The shutter flaps at the inlet to the cooking chamber (1) and the outlet from the drainage chamber (2) can be moved across the direction of flow through the inlet and outlet, respectively. In order to reduce the complexity of the valve design without causing leakage or impairing operation, the invention calls for the flaps (3, 4) to be pressed against the respective chamber openings at the inlet (1E) to the cooking chamber (1) and at the outlet (2A) from the drainage chamber (2) at a shallow angle ( alpha ) to close the chambers (1, 2). |
