The device has a hollow probe (14) whose first end points towards the material to be disintegrated and whose second end is held by a housing. A drive arrangement in the housing generates energy and/or pulses which are fed into the second end of the probe. The probe has at least one lateral outlet opening (21) arranged at a distance from the free end of the probe and enclosed by a connection device (17) which can be connected to a suction tube (18). The connection device has a connection sleeve (37) rotatably mounted on a connection body (36) and to which the suction tube can be connected.
