Hydraulic pressure intensifier, and its use in a water-hydraulic welding system

The pressure intensifier (3) has at least two connected pressure stages (16, 17) with an inlet and an outlet, and is characterised by:(a) as pressure generation begins, the first stage (16) is blocked from the inlet side; (b) as pressure generation of the second stage (17) begins, this stage is blocked from the first stage (16). The pressure intensifier is used in a welding system with a water-hydraulic welding cylinder with cooling water inlet and outlet, and a high-pressure water line with appropriate switching means.
