Fail-safe, easily serviced loading device for ring-spinning draw:work

A spinning esp. a ring-spinning machine drawwork has a loading device (38) which holds a press roller (14a, 14b) under spring pressure against a cylinder (12). The roller is located at the end of a holder (16) so placed to swing about an axis (30) which can be displaced w.r.t the cylinder and the roller centre of gravity (36) lies to one side of a line (V) connecting the axis and the cylinder centre of gravity (32). A stop (28) for the holder prevents the roller swinging away from the line (V) and the roller maintains its position while under load.
