The invention relates to a method for the reduction of undesired influence on the surroundings, e.g. undesired electric and/or magnetic fields from fluorescent tubes, or another electric source of light, and its electric connections. A method for the reduction of not desired electric fields can be made up of an electric conducting shield (6) surrounding the fluorescent tube (2), the shield being light transmitting and having the same potential as the surroundings. Not desired magnetic fields can be reduced by placing one of the electric connections along the fluorescent tube as a return cable. The return cable can be designed as an electric conducting shield (6) surrounding the fluorescent tube (2) and being light transmitting. The method can be used to illuminate biological organisms included in an electric conducting container (1) together with the fluorescent tube (2) and the shield (6), the container having the same potential as the shield (6). |
