PURPOSE:To provide a refrigerator that is capable of preventing the wear and deterioration in a compressor as it is cooled by using a desuperheater circuit. CONSTITUTION:An evaporation pipe 17 is connected to the dicharge side 32 of a compressor 16. A condensation pipe 18 that is inserted into a condenser 28 is connected to the evaporation pipe 17. A cooler 11 is connected between the condensation pipe 18 and the suction side 33 of the compressor 16. In the compressor 16 the outlet 30 of a desuperheating pipe and its return port 31 are formed. Between the outlet 30 and return port 31 of the desorption pipe a desorption heater circuit 26 that conists of a desuperheating pipe 25 inserted into the condenser 28 is connected. The high temperature, high pressure gas coolant that is discharged out of the compressor 16 is supplied to the desuperheater circuit 26 from the outlet 30 of the desuperheating pipe. The coolant that returns from the desuperheater circuit 26 and goes through the compressor 16 is supplied to the evaporation pipe 17.
