<p>PURPOSE: To provide a pad clip excellent in blanking ability and preventing the occurrence of collision between a brake pad and a torque exerting member and reducing the generation of collision noise through simple constitution when a brake is operated in the advancing direction of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A disc brake 1 comprises a rotor; a pair of brake pads 20 disposed on both sides of the rotor; a torque receiving member 10; and a pad clip 50 made of a resilient plate to energize the brake pad in the peripheral direction of a rotor. A pad 20 is provided at two end parts in a peripheral direction with a torque transmission part 22 in a rectangular shape in a side shape radially internally disposed and the torque receiving member 10 is provided with a U-shaped guide groove 12 into which the torque transmission part of a pad is inserted. The pad clip 50 comprises a U-shaped bent part nipped between the torque transmission part of the pad and the guide groove of the torque receiving member; and a part 26 extending radially externally of the U-shaped bent part and energizing the pad in the peripheral direction of the rotor in a position being not the torque transmission part of the pad.</p> |
