PURPOSE: To obtain the composition providing a coating film having high trans parency and useful for kitchenware, etc., by adding an organic pigment to a polyolefin resin at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION: This coating composition is produced by homogeneously mixing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin with (B) 0.001-0.5 pts.wt. of an organic pigment. Preferably, the component A is at least one kind of resin selected from polyethylene resin, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and ethylene- acrylic acid copolymer resin and the component B is, e.g., a pigment such as a lake red. The particle diameter of the obtained composition is preferably 70-400μm.
