REPAIRING METHOD AND REPAIRING DEVICE FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of liquid crystals by the DC voltage generated between the end faces of metallic wirings exposed by restoration and a counter substrate and to extremely simplify a method and device for such prevention with a method and device for repairing the short circuiting between the metallic wirings formed on the array substrates of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: This device has a stage 1 to be placed with the array substrate 9 having the plural metallic wirings and protective films consisting of insulators to cover these metallic wirings, a laser generator 3 for irradiating the short circuiting part between the metallic wirings with a laser, a nozzle 4 for forming an oxidizing atmosphere by injecting an oxidizing agent for oxidizing the metallic wirings to the short circuiting part and an oxidizing agent supply section 5 for supplying the oxidizing agent to this nozzle 4.
