<p>PURPOSE: To provide a track ball device which gives a light click feeling so as to select a fine character, a button, etc., as to the movement of a cursor on a display screen. CONSTITUTION: This track ball device consists of a track ball 1 for detecting the motion of a finger, a track ball device main body which supports the track ball 1, an X-directional roller 3 which detects the X-directional rotational quantity of the track ball 1, a Y-directional roller 4 which detects the Y-directional rotational quantity of the track ball 1, rotary blades 5 which are fitted to the X-directional roller 3 and Y-directional roller 4, and a stopper 6 which allows the rotation of the rotary blades 5 by a certain quantity. Thus, the track ball device is given a light click feeling or catch feeling and an operator has the click feeling when operating the device lightly with a finger; and a small character or button can be selected without moving the cursor beyond a line and misoperation is hardly done.</p> |
