A microwave oven and an opening/closing apparatus of the same are provided to prevent food receiving and removing operation from being interfered by the door of the microwave oven, and open/close the door in a convenient manner. A microwave oven includes a main body(1), a door(2), and a magnet(4). The main body has a cavity for accommodating food. The door is mounted on the main body such that the front end of the door is rotatable about the main body and selectively opens/closes the cavity. The magnet is arranged on the edge of the door in such a manner that the area between the door and the main body is maximized when the cavity is opened by the door. The cavity is kept at an open state by the magnetic force of the magnet.
