<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic charge image developing toner having a clear picture characteristic free of fog and excellent in durable stability by specifying the ratio of the maximum X-ray intensity level to minimum X-ray intensity level by X-ray diffraction analysis in an organically-treated alumina powder. CONSTITUTION: This electrostatic charge image developing toner has at least a toner grain and an organically-treated alumina powder. In X-ray diffraction analysis of the alumina powder, the ratio of the maximum X-ray intensity level Ia-max when 2θis in the range from 20B to 70deg to the minimum X-ray intensity level Ia-max . is found to be <6. Since such an alumina powder does not take the definite form of crystal, the association of the alumina grains is hardly recognized, and the aggregation degree of the grains is extremely low. Consequently, when the grains are mechanically dispersed to a primary grain diameter in the soln., the grains are disentangled with a low energy and the surface activity is high, and hence the org. treatment proceeds uniformly.</p> |
