<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an image quality capable of drastically improving the charge maintainability, environment stabilizing property and image quality maintainability, without the unevenness of image density and surface staining and improved in the reproducibility of the solid part and halftone by coating surfaces of core particles with a thermosetting resin, curing the resin and heating them under inert gas atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting resin is used as the coating resin of an electrostatic charge image developing carrier, heated above the the bake-hardening temp., cured and then treated at a high temp. under inert gas atmosphere. Consequently, the hydroxyl, carbonyl and hydrogen atom in the coating resin are reduced in number, an increase in the double bond in the molecule, cyclization and aromatization are promoted, and excellent durability and low-resistance coating characteristic are provided. An electrostatic charge image developing carrier excellent in chargeability, charge maintainability and environment stabilizing property is produced in this way. A heated kneader, heated Henschell mixer, UM mixer, planetary mixer, etc., are used as a device for the coating and curing.</p> |
