ELECTROMAGNETIC CONTACTOR

PURPOSE: To reduce the impact force when an electromagnetic contactor is turned on. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnet 101 is attracted or released by an AC power source 100 to close or open a contact in this electromagnetic contactor. The electromagnetic contactor is provided with a switch means feeding the voltage of the AC power source 100 at an optional phase and a phase adjusting means 103 adjusting the optional phase of the switch means. The phase adjusting means 103 excites the electromagnet 101 at the phase that the colliding speed (v) of the movable iron core of the electromagnet 101 with the fixed iron core is decreased and the differential value dv/dαof the colliding speed (v) of the movable iron core becomes zero or near zero.
