PURPOSE: To individually fit a button part for flip opening/closing from an external part. CONSTITUTION: In the portable telephone set of a flip opening/closing type, a flip 20 provided with a transmission part is connected to a telephone set main body 10 through a hinge part 30 so that it freely turns and the flip is folded and covers the operation key part 10a of the telephone set main body. A key guide groove 11 formed from the center part of the telephone set main body to a side, a cover 50 which covers the key guide groove from above and in which a hook slit 53 is formed in a center and a key 40 which is provided in a guide part formed by the key guide groove and the cover so that it can freely and reciprocally move are provided. A hook part 41 which is formed on one side of the key and protrudes to a flip-side from the hook slit of the cover, a key part 42 which is formed on the other end of the button and protrudes to the side of the telephone set main body from the guide part and a recessed part with which the hook part formed on the flip is engaged are provided.
