An apparatus and a method for preventing a fire of an electric heat line are provided to prevent a fire by applying a signal for cutting off a power supplied to an operation unit. An apparatus for preventing a fire of an electric heat line includes heat bedclothes(1), a heat line(2), a micom(20), an SRC operation unit(30), an AC zero detection unit(40), and a temperature setting unit(50). The heat line is arranged inside the heat bedclothes. The AC zero detection unit is configured on an input side of an AC power which is inputted to the heat bedclothes. The AC zero detection unit detects a zero point at AC 220V. The temperature setting unit transmits a setting temperature requested by a user to the micom. A detection line is arranged near to the heat line. If an over-voltage is applied between the detection line and a temperature amplification/comparison unit which amplifies and compares the temperature of the detection line, so the heat line is melted and is short circuit with the detection line, AC 220V power is applied through the detection line to cut the fuse resistance . If the temperature amplification/comparison unit transmits an abnormal state signal transmits the micom, the micom transmits a signal for cutting off the power of the SRC operation unit, and enables the SRC operation unit to cut off the power. |
