PURPOSE: To produce a composite material molded object in low cost within a short time without requiring expensive manufacturing equipment such as an autoclave or an expensive material such as a bag material. CONSTITUTION: Cores 1 being a plurality of expanded members each formed from a square pipe member are arranged on a lower mold 4 having an outer plate formed thereto in a close contact state and a core mold 6 having an inner plate formed thereto is arranged thereon and, further, cores 1 being a plurality of expanded members each formed from a square pipe member are arranged on the core mold 6 in a close contact state and, after an upper mold 5 having an outer plate formed thereto is fitted to the lower mold 4, the upper and lower molds 5, 4 are integrally heated to expand the cores 1 by heating to press the square pipe members, the outer plates and the inner plates. Therefore, an expensive molding appartus in a conventional method is not required and a composite material molded object high in the dimensional accuracy of the outer and inner shapes thereof can be produced at low cost. This cost reducing effect is larger in a more small-sized molded object. |
