PURPOSE: To detect an accurate moving vector by taking continuity of a moving vector in time space into account and checking a history of the moving vector in the time space. CONSTITUTION: Reliability R is defined as a quantity to discriminate the continuity and history of a moving vector. A reliability discrimination circuit 3 discriminates the quantity of the reliability, the result is stored in a vector quantity reliability memory 5 together with a detection motion vector V0 via a vector feedback circuit 4 to generate a history of the moving vector. The vector feedback circuit 4 uses the detected moving vector V0 and the reliability R0 to move the moving vector to an area where a mobile object causing the moving vector is in existence at a current point of time and to an area where the detection of the moving vector of the moving object is expected in future. Through the detection vector feedback, locus information of the consecutive moving vector area in a time space is obtained and the reliability R being history information having continuity in the time space is provided to the detected moving vector V0 . |
