PURPOSE: To obtain different waveform characteristics in a positive side and a negative side in an amplitude of a low frequency signal by setting the waveform characteristics of the positive side and the negative side in the amplitude of a modulation signal respectively and controlling the waveform characteristics on the positive side and the negative side of the low frequency signal. CONSTITUTION: Whether or not a calculated modulation value arrives at a stored saturated point is discriminated, and when not arriving, a value of a table selected by the value of the modulation value ×(100/satulated value) is obtained. Continuously, it is displayed on an LFO(low frequency oscillator) forming part in a modulation device 20, and a stored waveform number and an LFO waveform corresponding to a rate are generated. Then, whether or not the generated LFO output is zero or above, that is, the amplitude of the LFO output is on the positive side is discriminated, and when it is on the positive side, SF2 is reset, and it is set when on the negative side. In such a manner, a musical sound generated according to an operation key of a key board 10 is modulated by the low frequency signals having different envelope lines for the positive side and the negative side, that is, the low frequency signals with different amplitudes for the positive side and the negative side. |
