PURPOSE: To obtain a compact oscillation gyro for detecting the angular speeds about two axes simultaneously through an extremely simple structure and a method for manufacturing the oscillation gyro at low cost. CONSTITUTION: The disc-like oscillation gyro comprises electrodes B1-B6, a thin planar board part 4 comprising a resilient body 2, a piezoelectric layer 5 and electrodes A1-A6 formed thereon. The oscillation gyro further comprises an oscillator 1 generating an annular standing wave in the circumferential direction upon application of an AC signal between the opposite electrodes, means 7 for applying an AC signal to the oscillator 1, and more than one detection section 21, 22 disposed on the oscillator 1 while being spaced apart by 90 deg.. The signal means 7 generates a standing wave in the oscillator 1 and the angular speed about an axis, connecting between the detecting section 21, 22 and the center of the oscillator 1 is detected. |
