PURPOSE: To provide a luminaire capable of reducing a packing cost and transporting cost and capable of improving workability of the fitting execution of the luminaire. CONSTITUTION: This luminaire is provided with a slender luminaire main body 1 opened on one face, a slender reflector 2 provided to block the opening, and sockets 1 fitted at both end sections in the longitudinal direction of the luminaire main body 1 and supporting a straight tube type fluorescent lamp 13 against the reflector 2. The luminaire main body 1 is formed with plural split main body sections 19-21, the analogous cross section of one of the continuous adjacent split main body sections 19-21 is made larger than that of the other, the continuous adjacent split main body sections 19-21 are expandably fitted with each other, a hook section 14 is provided on one of the adjacent split main body sections 19-21, and a lock section 15 to be hooked on the hook section 14 when the adjacent split main body sections 19-21 are extended to the maximum is provided on the other. The luminaire main body 1 is made expandable/ shrinkable, and it can be packed and transported in a shrunk attitude. |
