PURPOSE: To obtain a method for producing a synthetic resin-coated metal pipe having a good appearance. CONSTITUTION: While a metal pipe 1 with a heat-shrinkable synthetic resin tube 2 externally fitted is placed on a transport conveyor 3 in the direction orthogonal to the axis of the pipe to be held and moved, the synthetic resin tube 2 is continuously heated by a heating mechanism 4. An auxiliary transport conveyor 5 is installed for transporting the metal pipe 1 while changing a placing position. In this manner, a synthetic resin-coated metal pipe having a good appearance can be produced.
