PURPOSE: To prevent an alignment mark formed on a transparent substrate from being difficult to read at the time of sticking two transparent substrates of a liquid crystal display device together. CONSTITUTION: In the case that an oriented film is formed by a relief printing on the transparent substrate, a square frame-like position deviation discriminating mark 26 is firstly experimentally formed as a cross-like alignment mark 18 formed on the transparent substrate at the same time as forming the oriented film. The alignment of the transparent substrate and the relief printing is performed based on the position deviation of both marks. Then, the forming of the oriented film is formally performed. In the case that the position deviation discriminating mark 26 is printed without positional deviation from the alignment mark 18 as shown in a figure (B), the position deviation discriminating mark 26 does not cover the alignment mark 18. Therefore, the read of the alignment mark 18 is not made to difficult at the time of sticking two transparent substrates together. |
