PURPOSE: To enable the exact measurement of the sp. gr. of the processing liquid in a device. CONSTITUTION: A piping 52 for connecting a color developing tank 30 and an auxiliary tank 44 which is provided with a heater 48 and is communicated with the color developing tank 44 is provided with a circulating pump 54 in its intermediate part. A color developer is uniformly stirred by operation of the circulating pump 54 and is maintained at a prescribed temp. range. The part of the piping 52 where the end of the auxiliary tank side rises down is provided with a detecting section 68 of a hydrometer 60 consisting of an oscillator 64 and a signal receiver 68 made in a pair. A heat insulating material 70 is wound between the detecting section 68 and the color developing tank 30. A control section 56 operates the hydrometer 60 after lapse of the prescribed time after stopping the flow of the color developer in the piping by stopping the circulating pump 54 so that the sp. gr. of the color developer in the piping is measured by the detecting section 68. |
