PURPOSE: To make the engagement-inserting of a thrust pad of a brushless motor smooth and prevent the oil in its oil retaining bearing from leaking to the outside while generating a capillary action, by changing step-wise the outer diameter of the thrust pad inserted engagement-wise into the cylinder section of the housing of the motor to whose inner periphery the oil retaining bearing for supporting pivotally the rotor of the motor is fastened engagement- wise and to whose outer periphery the stator of the motor is fastened engagement-wise. CONSTITUTION: A thrust pad 6 having a thrust tip 7 for receiving the thrust of a shaft 19 of the rotor of a brushless motor is inserted engagement-wise into a cylinder section 4 protruded in the central section of the housing of the motor, and its outer diameter is formed out of a small-, medium-, and large- diameter sections 23, 24, 25. The small-, medium-, and large-diameter sections 23, 24, 25 serve respectively as its guide section, the section for preventing an oil leakage by the utilizing of a capillary phenomenon, and its engagement- inserting section. Thereby, the engagement-inserting of the thrust pad 6 is made easy, and the deformation of the thrust pad 6 and the oil leakage of an oil retaining bearing 5 are prevented respectively. |
