PURPOSE: To obtain a coffin for burying free from fear of environmental pollution by forming a container body and a lid body using a biodegradable resin material while a latch means is formed integrally with the container body and the lid body to decompose them into soil naturally with the passage of time. CONSTITUTION: In a coffin for burying small animals, a container body 1 and a lid body 2 are made of a biodegradable resin material and a latch means 3 is formed integrally with the container body 1 and the lid body 2. The material herein used may be the biodegradable resin material alone. But it is possible to mix it with crushed material produced by crushing the structural body of a plant. The latch means 3 is made up of a latch part 3a formed on the upper outer circumference of the container body 1 and an undercut part 3b formed on the lower inner circumference of the lid body 2 and the lid body 2 is put on the container body 1 to get the undercut part 3b engaged with the latch part 3a and the lid body 2 is fixed. A message space 4 for displaying memories or the like of the pet is formed on the surface of the lid body 2 being lowered by one stage. |
