PURPOSE: To obtain a lube oil, comprising mainly a phenylmethyl silicone oligomer having a specific kinematic viscosity and more improved in heat and abrasion resistances as a lubricating oil used between steel and ceramics, etc., of ceramics gas turbine engines operating at a higher temperature. CONSTITUTION: This lube oil comprises mainly a phenylmethyl silicone oligomer of the formula [R is methyl or phenyl; (n) is ] 1-10] having 3-25mm<2> /sec kinematic viscosity at 100 deg.C and is used for an apparatus disposing ceramics as a sliding member. An antioxidant such as a di(alkylphenyl)amine, an anti-corrosive agent such as an isostearate, a metal inactivator such as benzotriazole, an abrasion inhibitor, etc., such as a trialkyl phosphorothionate, as necessary, may be added to the lubricating oil. When the additives are used, 0.01-2wt.% antioxidant, 0.01-0.5wt.% anticorrosive agent, 0.01-1wt.% metal inactivator and 0.1-3wt.% abrasion inhibitor respectively based on the phenylmethyl silicone oligomer are preferably blended therein. |
