METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER RESIN FOAM BODY

PURPOSE: To obtain an extrusion foaming method eliminating the need for previously drying a resin for the removal of a water content therefrom when a thermoplastic polyester resin foam body is produced by extrusion foaming. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic polyester resin and a crosslinking agent are put in a twin-screw extruder 1 and kneaded. A water content is removed by vacuum sucking through a barrel of the extruder 1. Succeedingly, the resin is supplied into a single-screw extruder 4. The resin is extruded and foamed by injecting a foaming agent through a barrel of the single-screw extruder 4.
