PURPOSE: To manufacture multicolored fittings at low cost by injecting under pressure a molten synthetic resin having a color different from that of a first trim through injection ports provided in either one of a fixed mold or a movable mold of an injection mold, curing the injected synthetic resin and forming a different second trim, which is held securely on the rear face of the first trim, outside the periphery of the first trim. CONSTITUTION: A surface side 13 of a first trim 11 formed in advance and having one color is disposed at an intermediate position on an inner face of a movable mold 3 of an injection mold. Then, after clamping the movable mold 3 against a fixed mold 5, a molten synthetic resin 27 having a color different from that of the first trim 11 is injected under pressure, as shown by the arrows, into a first space 19 defined in advance by the movable mold 3 and fixed mold 5 at a position on an outer side of the periphery 17 of the first trim 11 and into a second space 23 defined between the fixed mold 5 of the injection mold and the rear face side 15 of the first trim 11, through injection ports 25 provided in the fixed mold 5 of the injection mold, and the molten synthetic resin thus injected is then cured. By this method, a second trim held securely by welding on the rear face 15 of the first trim 11 is formed outside the periphery 17 of the first trim 11. |
