A dishwasher is provided to prevent dishes from being dropped from baskets due to spraying force of washing water from a nozzle by forming opening parts of the baskets and a cover smaller than the exterior of the dishes. A dishwasher comprises baskets(4,5), and a cover(21) having opening parts for covering an upper portion of the baskets. The baskets installed inside a washing tub(1) places dishes to have the opening parts. The opening parts of the baskets and the cover are smaller than the exterior part of the dishes. The cover whose upper surface is inclined is placed inside the lower surface of the baskets, and slid on the upper surface of the baskets. The baskets has a lower surface inclined, and a cover placing part for loading the cover vertically.
